Tell me more about you and why I should buy GDL Answered?
We write a range of study notes for the GDL and LPC. We used these notes to gain distinctions and training contracts at top firms – we think that our guides will help you too. We wrote our first set of notes in 2012 and have been growing ever since. We've now set up a company, Answered Limited, and continue to constantly update our notes with new law and feedback from students at top law schools such as BPP and UoL. We're always striving to make sure our notes remain the best on the market.
Having used other study guides, we know that our notes are far better than others on the market. They tell you exactly what you need to know to get a top mark. We hope that you find them as clear and thorough as they are intended to be. Students have said some great things about us, which you can read about here.
We’ve also been helping out the University of Zambia recently with a donation of guides.
Can I work with you?
We are always looking for new students to work with us to constantly update and improve our guides. We’d also love to hear any feedback you might have. Please do get in touch with us via email@example.com.
Do I need both the Core Guide and Case Book?
We strongly recommend that you purchase our Core Guide - it is a comprehensive explanation of the law set out in the way that will get you the best mark on problem questions. Our Case Book is an accompaniment - it explains the facts and legal principles of each case in more detail. If you are looking for summaries of the cases or to get that top mark, we would strongly recommend purchasing the Case Book too. The two guides are standalone products, but they are designed to work well together so that you can understand everything you need to know in a concise way. Happily, we offer bundle prices if you purchase both at the same time - check out our Buy Now page above.
Are you bringing out any more guides soon?
Yes. We’re always commissioning new guides and updating our current guides. You can find out more and keep up to date by liking our facebook page, where we post updates whenever new guides are brought out.
Do you sell individual chapters?
No. Each of the GDL Answered Core Guide and the Case Book is sold as one complete book - you can buy one or both, but unfortunately we cannot split them.
Do you sell electronic copies of your notes?
Not yet. We’re currently working on it, but don’t expect it to be ready soon. We’ll update our facebook page when electronic copies become available, which you can find here.
Can I see a sample?
Yes. We have samples available here.
Are your notes suitable for my law school?
Our notes were contributed to, checked and/or updated by current and former students at BPP, the University of Law and Nottingham. Each guide goes through a comprehensive process to ensure that it covers as much of the material for each module in as many ways as possible. Our aim is for every guide to be as suitable to as many law schools as possible – which is why we write comprehensive guides rather than individual guides to each law school.
Are your notes suitable for the LLB?
If you are looking for LLB-specific notes, please check out our sister site, LLB Answered.
How do these compare to other study guides?
Our notes are written by students, for students. They aren’t tedious textbooks – they’re written in order to get straight to the point and to help you answer exam questions in the way you’re meant to. They are constantly updated, constantly checked and constantly re-checked. We think we have the highest-quality, most-accurate notes on the market. We also cover far more modules than any other student-style notes. You can find out more about our other guides to the LPC.
Do you sell guides to other courses?
We sell a large range of LPC guides on our sister site, LPC Answered. We do not sell BPTC notes.
How often do you update your guides?
Regularly. GDL Answered is comprehensively updated over the summer each year and may be updated more frequently. Sometimes the law will change significantly during your course. In that case, it is our policy to update our guide after the law comes into force and email an updated chapter around to the students who have purchased our guide recently.
We also have a new blog where we share legal updates, insights and tips on helping you on your journey to becoming a lawyer.
What delivery service do you use and how long does it take for my order to arrive?
You should allow 2 to 3 working days for processing and printing followed by delivery of 3 to 5 working days within the UK (7 to 15 working days internationally) although it can be faster. We use Royal Mail first or second class unregistered post, so you don’t need to be in to sign for it. Couriered options are available on request. Please email us via firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions. We strongly recommend that you speak to us about delivery options if you wish to post to Turkey, the Middle East, India, China or South Africa. Please allow an extra one or two days for your guide to arrive over the Christmas/New Year period.
What is your refund policy?
If your guide arrives damaged then we will of course offer you a full refund. Otherwise, we’ll accept all returns of guides within two weeks, as long as they reach us in a re-saleable condition (but please email us first via email@example.com). You can find our full policy at the bottom of the checkout page before you confirm your purchase.
We will never sell your data on to third parties. The only data we’ll pass on is that which we need to fulfill your order (e.g. Royal Mail). We’ll treat all your information confidentially, as will our secure payment processing service. We will occasionally email you with updates or offers, but such emails will be rare and you can always ask us to remove you from our mailing list. Our payment processing is done by a third party and we do not store your card details. You can find our full policy at the bottom of the checkout page before you confirm your purchase.
What’s your email address?

I’m having technical issues with your checkout – what should I do?
If you are having technical issues with the "Add to cart" or "Checkout" functions, this may be because you are using an outdated browser - updating your browser (or simply using a different browser) should solve this problem, but please email us if it does not.
